Day 3 pouch reset

Today has been a much better day.  Todays menu:

Breakfast – 1 Frittata


Lunch – 1 pack of tuna with parmesan crisps


Snacks and drinks – Coffee (2 cups), Hot tea, 1 frittata, small bag of peanuts

Dinner – Buffalo chicken dip (1.5 cup), with cucumbers


Evening snack – Buffalo chicken dip (1.5 cup), with cucumbers

I feel better today. I have resisted snacking on items that are not good for me, or that I said I would give up (i.e. chips).  I really enjoyed the cucumbers with the buffalo chicken dip. It was better than I thought it would be.  It gave me the crunch that I was wanting, and none of the calories that I don’t need nor want.

Day 2

Day 2 was much like day 1.  Soup, protein shake, and more soup.  LOL

I am officially back on the losing streak.  Down 2 pounds since starting the reset.

Tomorrow will start the soft proteins.  On the menu is:
Tuna
Frittata
Jello

Day 1 pouch reset

My pouch reset will be to follow the following diet:

Days 1 & 2: Liquid Protein
Low carb protein shakes
Broth
Clear & cream soups
Sugar free jello & pudding

Day 3: Soft Protein
Canned fish (tuna, salmon)
Canned chicken & turkey
Eggs
Fresh soft fish (tilapia)

Day 4: Firm Protein
Ground meat (turkey, beef, chicken, lamb)
Shellfish
Scallops
Lobster
Fresh salmon or halibut

Day 5: Solid Protein
White meat poultry
Beef steak
Turkey


Today I have 2 Premier Protein shakes (chocolate), and some Tomato Basil Soup (from Sams Club), for breakfast, lunch and snacks today at work.

Have I mentioned that I don’t like soup.  I tolerate tomato soup, but will be tired if it after 2 days.  I have also had some hot tea (it helps curb my hunger). Today has been tough, but it will be worth it to get my pouch where it should be.

Last days of freedom

9 months after surgery and I seem to be unable to find my way back to my wagon.  I have decided to start this blog to start posting everything I eat in a day.  From breakfast to dinner, and all snacks in between.  By doing this, hopefully it will keep me on track and honest about how my weight loss is going. I will be starting on Wednesday March 1st, with a 5 day pouch reset.  This will be a hard road (mainly the pouch reset), but it is something that I need to do.
